## Reflection There are some technical points here which are wrong about mechanisms and mechanics (which may run afoul of [[Knoll's law of media accuracy]]) but overall it's a sobering reminder of how apocalyptic a nuclear war would be. In a grim sense, it's nice living in Colorado where we'll be a pretty direct target. The argument that _any_ nuclear exchange, would yield a nuclear response, which would then trigger a full scale exchange between Russia and the USA due to the uncertainty that either is being attacked; the book outlines a scenario where North Korea fires nuclear weapons on the USA and the USA responds, but Russia can't tell if they're targeting _only_ North Korea or if they are also being attacked - so they respond with a full strike. ## Related - [[Raven Rock (Book)]] - [[Command And Control (Book)]]
