The Curie temperature is the temperature at which a ferrous metal stops being magnetic. I found it mentioned as a useful aspect of metals for use in radiating systems in [[Heat Radiators (Spaceships)|Spaceship heat radiators]]. One could use an electromagnetic heater to heat a piece of metal up to the Curie temperature (TC) at which point the metal would fall off the magnet and cool down, once it's cooled it would become attracted to the electromagnet again and become heated.
